- Assistant Sub-Inspector (Steno) (ASI - Steno) : 28 posts (UR-16, SC-3,ST-2, OBC-7) (Ex.SM-3),
- Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200 - 20200 + GP Rs. 2800/-,
- Age : 18-25 years as on 01/08/2013.
- Application Fee : Application fee of Rs. 50 in the form of Bank DD in favour of Accounts Officer, FTR Hqrs. SSB Guwahati payable at SBI Guwahati, Assam. No fee charged from SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen.
