Applications are
invited for appointment to (113) posts of Horticulture Officers carrying the
time scale of Rs. 16150-450-17050-490-18520-530-20110- 570-21820-610-23650-650-25600-700-27700-750-29950-800-32350-850-34900- 900-37600-970-40510-1040-42590
on regular basis under General Recruitment in the Department of Horticulture in
State.

Educational Qualification: A candidate must possess B.Sc. Degree in Horticulture or M.Sc. (Agriculture) with specialization in Horticulture of a recognized university in the State or any other university/ institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission and as per G.O.Ms.No.355, Food & Agri. (Agri.II) Dept., dt.7-3-1992 first preference shall be given to the candidates who possessed B.Sc. (Horticulture) and in case of non-availability of B.Sc. (Horticulture) candidates, preference will be given to those who possessed M.Sc. (Agri.) Horticulture.
Selection Process: The Selection Committee will select the candidates as per merit, based on the aggregate marks computed for 100 marks, i.e., up to a maximum of 75 for the OGPA/ Traditional % of marks secured by them in their B.Sc. (Horti.) or M.Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture or B.Sc. (Ag.) [in case of non-availability of B.Sc.(Horti.) candidates among S.C. & S.T. only], plus marks for seniority from the date of passing of the said qualification @ One Mark per year from the year of passing (for completed year), subject to maximum of 10 Marks, plus subject to maximum of 15 marks i.e., @ 4 Marks per year for satisfactory service rendered as Horticultural Officer/ Horticultural Consultant on outsourcing / contract basis in the Horticulture Department.
Process For Application: Applications filled in all respects
along with required testimonials should reach the undersigned on or before 19-10-2013
by 5:00 P.M. The cover containing
the application should be super scribed as "Application for the post of
Horticulture Officer". Applications
received late or with incomplete information/ non-enclosing copies of
Certificates will be rejected summarily and no correspondence will be
undertaken in this regard.
