APPLICATIONS are invited within fifteen days to fill up the following vacancies at National Institute of Virology and its Units at different parts of the country:
1. Scientist-C (Medical)
Vacancies – 02
Pay-Scale - PB-3 15600-39100 +GP 6600
Qualification - 1. MBBS Degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from a recognized University
2. 4 years R&D experience in the related subject
2. Scientist-C
Vacancies – 03
Pay-Scale - PB-3 15600- 39100 + GP 6600
Qualification - 1. MBBS / M.V.Sc Degree recognized by MCI / VCI or equivalent degree from a recognized University OR 1st Class Masters Degree in relevant subject from a recognized University
2. 4 years R&D experience in the related subject.
3. Scientist-C (Bio-engineering)
Vacancies – 01
Pay-Scale - PB-3 Rs.15600- 39100 GP 6600
1. B.E. / B. Tech. in Bioengineering from a recognized University
2. 6 years R & D experience in related subject.
4. Scientist-B
Vacancies – 05 ( 1 – Medical) 03-UR 01-OBC 01-ST (Out of five, one vacancy reserved for P/H
(Orthopedic) and one vacancy reserved for P/H (Hearing impaired with aid)
Pay-Scale - PB-3 15600- 39100 +GP 5400

Application form duly completed in all respects along with a crossed demand draft of Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred only) drawn in favor of Director, NIV, Pune payable at SBI Main Branch, Pune and attested copies of certificates in support of date of birth, educational qualification, experience, caste verification etc., may be sent to THE DIRECTOR, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF VIROLOGY, 20-A, DR. AMBEDKAR ROAD, POST BOX NO.11, PUNE – 411 001 on or before the last date. Separate application should be submitted for each post and specialty. SC/ST/PH and Women candidates are exempted from payment of Rs.100/-.
ICMR employees are not exempted from the payment.
